Camel is one of the most underrated progressive bands of the seventies. As live recordings are scarce, I'm sure you'll find this one very pleasing in quality and performance. I recommend their first four albums. I don't find anything after that too great, but you might disagree.

Notes:
I came to this show with the intention of sneaking in. The security and police were too abundant for that plan to emense, so what I did was leave my device outside the amphitheater where I could hear the music fine. A few lame people decided to stand in the back and talk while they had forty dollar tickets to see the Volta, which unfortunately got picked up in parts of the recording. My camera also ran out of batteries which makes us miss all of Goliath.

This is a good stage performance by the volta. Its 2 songs that range 50 min. long with Frances The Mute material intermingled. it's EX+ quality due to the pro-shot footage. I might have gotten it from susrocks.blogspot.com if my memory is correct. thanks if that be the case.

this is a very cool multiple angle audience video. it's crystal clear. the performance is great as expected.

Source: Unknown Video Recording Equipment > Video Master > Unknown Transfer > DVD > DVD Decrypter > .VOB
Setlist (18:37):
Jam 1
Jam 2
Notes: NTSC format with multiple angles.....this is not an acoustic performance. It's tough to say how much of this performance is improvised, as alot of the changes seem obviously rehearsed. At the same time, there are mistakes and moments of spontaneity that are easily recognisable and as a musician, very fun to watch. If you're a fan of any of these guys, or just good music in general, I highly recommend checking this out. Watch, judge for yourself, and enjoy.

Recording notes : I was in front of the bar and the sound was good. This evening people in front of the stage hadn't heard Cedric well. I Had a Problem with my MD (this is my first show as a taper) so I didn't record A Fist Full Of Dollars. I thought that Cassandra Geminni was after the encore but the band hadn't left stage. I'm sorry but I had to change my disc during the song (I recorded it in PCM mode) so Cassandra is in two part (less than 2 minutes are missing).
Editing notes : The sound is not normalize because it causes me problems to encode into flac or mp3. I have just split the recording into tracks. I cut the introduction improvisation. I made a fade in and a fade out at the beginning and at the end of Cassandra Geminni part2.

03. Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt 11:22
04. Concertina 6:00
05. Drunkship of Lanterns 24:56
-Disc Two: (62:17)

07. Roulette Dares(The Haunt Of) 12:32
08. The Widow 5:33
09. Cassandra Geminni 30:17
*with Special Guest John Frusciante!!!
Record Notes: Recorded from stereo mics clipped to hat 6 ft. from the ground spaced 6 inches apart. The show was recorded about 180 ft back from just the center stage in the audience. My iRiver record level was set to 3 and my volume input level on my battery box at 50-60%.
Show Notes: This was the one of the best TMV shows I have ever seen. They started off just after sunset with no opener. The crowd cheered in anticipation of the Fistfull anthem. The crowd roared and Mars rocked into a killer Cygnus. From there it was glorious. The background screen was a nice treat for the eyes with the two men with covered heads. L'via was incredible especially with John Frusciante (from R.H.C.P.) throwing down some licks. The lights were surreal and made the whole stage seem as if it were swirling. Adding to the mix were the fantastic saxiphonist/flutist/percussionist and Paul Hinojos on the programmer/sound effects who kept it flowin between songs. The show sounded so clear, the weather was perfect(65°F) and the band didn't have to stop for equipment problems at all. Once again, the recording will hopefully fill you in. Anyway the show was amazing and it sounds fantastic, it was an excellent venue for recording and I hope you enjoy it!
