*with Special Guest John Frusciante!!!
Record Notes: Recorded from stereo mics clipped to hat 6 ft. from the ground spaced 6 inches apart. The show was recorded about 180 ft back from just the center stage in the audience. My iRiver record level was set to 3 and my volume input level on my battery box at 50-60%.
Show Notes: This was the one of the best TMV shows I have ever seen. They started off just after sunset with no opener. The crowd cheered in anticipation of the Fistfull anthem. The crowd roared and Mars rocked into a killer Cygnus. From there it was glorious. The background screen was a nice treat for the eyes with the two men with covered heads. L'via was incredible especially with John Frusciante (from R.H.C.P.) throwing down some licks. The lights were surreal and made the whole stage seem as if it were swirling. Adding to the mix were the fantastic saxiphonist/flutist/percussionist and Paul Hinojos on the programmer/sound effects who kept it flowin between songs. The show sounded so clear, the weather was perfect(65°F) and the band didn't have to stop for equipment problems at all. Once again, the recording will hopefully fill you in. Anyway the show was amazing and it sounds fantastic, it was an excellent venue for recording and I hope you enjoy it!
